CLIL for Teachers
Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) has been around since the late 1980s and has seen a resurgence in the last few years across Europe. Many schools have adopted a CLIL approach to their lessons and the results have been wonderful.
CLIL is an ever-changing concept, with new approaches to this methodology being considered on a regular basis. Our CLIL course aims to provide teachers with an overview of CLIL and the practical applications it has.
This teacher training course will introduce new CLIL teachers to the method and improve on existing CLIL teachers’ knowledge from both a theoretical and practical perspective.
- Consists of 25 hours classroom time
- Involves 20 hours of tuition and 5 hours of project development
- At the end of the course there is a written assessment, individual teaching feedback and ELA In-service certificate
This 25-hour CLIL course will help prepare teachers to produce quality CLIL lessons. The course is split into two sections – Theory and Practical – where teachers will develop their understanding behind the creation and benefits of CLIL, and some practical approaches to delivering CLIL lessons.
Our TRINITY CertTESOL and In service Training and Development programmes for EFL teachers, as well as courses for CLIL teachers wanting to develop English language skills may be eligible for Erasmus+ funding. Please check with your National Agency. Erasmus + Lifelong Learning grants are obtained through the organization you are currently working with (school, university, training institute, etc.). The Erasmus+ Programme Guide lists very clear criteria you need to meet in order to be granted funding.
