How to avoid catching or spreading coronavirus
The National Health Service has issued the following guidelines:
What are the symptoms of coronavirus?
The symptoms of coronavirus are:
- a cough
- a high temperature
- shortness of breath
But these symptoms do not necessarily mean you have the illness. The symptoms are similar to other illnesses that are much more common, such as cold and flu.
What should you do if you have these symptoms?
- If you are registered with a GP, call your GP during working hours.
- Outside working hours, or if you don’t have a GP, call 111 (NHS 24)
- Stay at home: Don’t come to school or go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital.
- Contact us on +44 131 622 0738 to make us aware of the situation.
Before you travel to the UK
Because of the uncertainties surrounding the outbreak of coronavirus, we strongly recommend that you take out a cancellation insurance policy when you book your flight to the UK, in case you have to postpone or cancel your trip due to any possible travel restrictions. Please contact your airline or insurance company for details.
Study from home
If you can’t travel at the moment, you can do all your English classes with us via Skype.
