Have you always been interested in travelling the world? Unsure what to do with that degree you’ve just earned? Why not become an English language teacher?
I first came into this industry 11 years ago and have thoroughly enjoyed all of the opportunities it has afforded me. I began in the Czech Republic and am now working in Edinburgh.
I have lived and worked in 5 different countries (Czech Republic, South Korea, Vietnam, Spain, the UK) and have been able to immerse myself in the local language, food and culture of each place as well as being able to visit many of the surrounding countries of each locale.
Over the last 11 years, I have forged friendships which span the globe and have experienced many things a girl from Georgia, USA wouldn’t normally have had the opportunity to do. My favourite thing to brag about in this career, is to say that I can spin a globe, land my finger there and find work as an English teacher.
Being an English language teacher is not just a way to travel the world and isn’t only for people doing a gap year, it is a viable and in demand job in countless countries. It is a rewarding profession with a lot of opportunity for growth, development and specialisation.
So, how do you start down this path?
The Trinity Cert-TESOL course is a 120+ hour, full-time, one-month course which fully prepares candidates to be English language teachers. Successful candidates will gain a globally recognised teaching certificate which will enable them to find work wherever their hearts desire.
There is still time to register for this course; however, if you miss this opportunity, don’t worry. We will be running additional full-time, part-time and blended courses later in the year.
