ELA Teacher Development

ELA Teacher Development programme aims to develop you as an all-round and skilled professional, confident both with the theoretical background of EFL, but also with using imagination and creativity.

The ELA In-service Teacher Training and Development course is taught by highly skilled and qualified EFL professionals who have extended experience of living and teaching in different parts of the world. The trainer will provide candidates with a highly practical grounding in teaching techniques and methodology, using a range of innovative teaching methods.

This excellent professional development course improves the skills and knowledge of ESOL teachers. Trainees practice developing their own activities and materials using on-line and multimedia resources with feedback. They will explore ways of evaluating and using technology in the 21st classroom.

  • Consists of 25 or 30 hours of tuition a week
  • Involves 3-4 hours of personal study time per day
  • At the end of the course there is a written assessment, individual teaching feedback and ELA In-service certificate.

Both TRINITY CertTESOL and In service Training and Development programmes for EFL teachers, as well as courses for CLIL teachers wanting to develop English language skills may be eligible for Erasmus+ funding. Please check with your National Agency.

Minimum level of English B1 is required for these courses.

All students pay an £80 registration fee which includes placement test, needs assessment, individual learning plan & end-of-course certificate.

General course book can be rented from the school for £10 + a £40 deposit or bought for £40 each.

All prices quoted per week unless specified. 1hr = 60 minutes. 15hrs = 20 lessons of 45 minutes. Break after each lesson of 90 minutes.
